[0.13.0] Take Good Care Of Your Girl


In this month's update, no story continuation scenes were added, just new mechanics to complement the gameplay. And I can say that now the game is looking like I wanted it to look. I recommend that you start a new game to better enjoy the new experience.

In fact, there's another reason I recommend you start a new game. This month's update came with several code changes, so old saves should be more corrupt than ever. Sorry about that! xD

I did a dance minigame, and also published it on my YouTube channel, but when I tested them on my cell phone, it was horrible! The arrows were extremely slow and ended up filling the screen with arrows, and when I tried to adjust, it was very bad for the computer 😁 I tried to balance it so that it wouldn't be bad for either computer or cell phone players and I believe I found a temporary middle ground for this update. But it should be reworked in the future. Don't have access to the version 0.13 yet? You can take a look on the video:

There's a reworked interaction mechanics. Most of its content is only available to your neighbor. You can hug her, pat her on the head, give her gifts (sweets), dance, and talk. She also brings up random topics with you. The greater the intimacy with her, the more likely she is to bring up a subject on her own.

If you're interested in seeing what she might say, I recommend leaving and returning to the conversation until that happens. Remembering that she gets tired of talking after 2 topics, and recovers 1 topic per hour. Therefore, if you or she has already brought up 2 topics in the conversation, she will only bring up another topic in the next hour, when 1 topic is recovered.

Changelog

  • Interface Rework: buttons are more prominent and colorful so you know what is a button and what is just an icon, they are also bigger to be more easily clickable by mobile players.
  • Interaction Rework: character interaction is now divided into: chat; touch; hang out; and give item. Each character must react differently to different types of interactions, depending on their personality (PROTOTYPE: For now it's only available for your neighbor, and only her casual outfit should appear in touch scenes, even if she's wearing something else).
  • Stat Points Rework: Charisma are now adquired by interacting with other characters (mainly by talking and touching), and its training should only add bonus for point gaining. Also, bonus for charisma, inteligence, and physics works now like bonus for characters love, lust, and intimacy. You can get infinite bonus, but it will slightly decrease at the end of the day. Intimacy is gain when you spend time with a character and when they know more about you. Love is gain when you do or say something the character likes, and is lost otherwise.
  • Character Memory: characters store information about you, and may react differently depending on what they know about you. (PROTOTYPE: Characters may exchange information about you and other characters in the future, like a gossip mechanic. You can always try to please the character by saying things they like to hear, but if those things conflict with things another character has heard, they will consider you to be lying and stats may greatly decrease. For now it's only available for your neighbor).
  • Rhythm Minigame: you can dance as a hang out activity with a character. Dancing increases character's love points based on your score, and intimacy based on the music length. (PROTOTYPE: The speed of buttons is still not stable and can be quite disruptive. I tried to take a real time reading so that the buttons could move at the same speed on different operating systems regardless of the FPS, but I'm still learning how to make it work well and couldn't get it balanced. So, consider choose the music option that better fit in your operational system. For now it's only available for your neighbor).
  • Money and Item: You can earn money by helping students study in the afternoon at the library. To do this, you need to have more than 10 intelligence points. With the money you can buy items. Items can be used or given as gifts to characters. (PROTOTYPE: For now it's only available for your neighbor).
  • Hygiene and Energy: energy mechanics have been reworked. Now it reduce slight over time and can recover from some items and activities. Hygiene system has been implemented. The amount of hygiene slightly influences the amount of charisma gain and can increase intelligence and charisma attributes when showering. Hygiene points reduce slightly over time and significantly with physical activity. The idea is that the bath can activate some erotic scenes (PROTOTYPE: Not yet fully functional).
  • Bug Fix: part 2 of stepsis' quest will no longer get stuck forever if you fail to wake her up the following day of the quest part 1 and do the part 1 more than once. Now you can do part 1 as many times as you want, and the part 2 should be there on the following day.

Why the update so very slow maybe you only one developing the game what if your friend work together to develop faster update from the game

Sorry, I ended up messing up with some of stepsis scripts. Didn't noticed this part became unavailable, but it's probably the case ;-;

I'll probably fix it on next update, since I intend to reorganize her script.

Could be just on my end but here's a few bugs I've noticed.

Character creation: When you hit the arrow key once you're finished, if it does not go immediately to the game take a double take at your naming choices. I had where more than once where it quasi-turned off the "shared family name" option for step mom/sister and gave them a random family name instead.

Step-sister: she gets semi-permalocked in her room. She doesn't come to living room when her line "I hear neighbor's voice so I'm leaving", you can't get the option to watch TV with her anymore on day 1 you have to choose this option through neighbor. She does go to school properly and is in living room after 18:00, any other time she is in her room. If you small talk her enough in the morning she'll repeat the neighbor's voice line and you'll leave the room but she'll remain inside. This makes watching T.V. together scene on the weekend impossible to get.

Helping study: This still triggers even on weekends.

Neighbor: Her chatting topics don't really recover the way said. instead of one hour, I have to not talk to her for an entire day before she talks again (this is both me bringing up topics and her asking me stuff). 

Concerns:

Step-mom: Because she doesn't get tired of touching and the love increases every time, you can get her to 100% love in a very short span of time.

Helping study: The stat increase seems broken. I was gaining 12.0+ intimacy and love per time, per character. It seems to scale with intelligence? But like step-mom's touch, it allows to speed run intimacy/love if you focus INT.

Class Pres: Just to check the full impact of your beginning choices, I made a Intimate/Hentai character. And oh wow, the class pres becomes amazingly hard to build intimacy with because of it even with high INT. I think that's perfect but others may not.

Hi, I removed this choice option to better match the dialogues with the characters' actions speed.

You can choose between being almost instantaneous (practical mode) and being slow and with pauses (interactive mode).

'-' Maybe you could have enabled practical mode.
